Vision: To be a faithful, growing church, that demonstrates true community, deep Christian Spirituality and a passion for justice. (Micah 6:8)
Mission: To be and to share the Good news of Jesus Christ, witnessing, loving and serving9 from our doorsteps “to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

To be a local example of the vision and mission of the General and Regional manifestations of our denomination.

To be a visible example what it is to be: (1) A “Living Laboratory” Faith Community. (2) What Christ wanted the external community to see when he said, “By this will everyone know that you are my disciples.”; (3) A faith community structured to be more about supporting personal growth through our Christian values and less about maintaining an organization.
At Westchester Christian Church we therefore:
Commit to organize for growth personally and numerically. Wee will develop measurable methods to tell us how we are doing on this objective and will use that information to guide us in responding to the data.
Will continually work to understand what it is to be “community.” We will continually evaluate our progress on this objective. We will prayerfully act in accordance with this information.
Are without apology “Christians only.” Knowing that we are not “the only Christians” we will welcome, appreciate and celebrate the diversity that is found in the worldwide Christian family.
Will continually seek to demonstrate our intent to be peaceful people concerned about peace and justice locally and globally.
We know WHO and WHOSE we are.
Graciously and with humility share with others what we have personally experienced in our relationship with Jesus.
Believe that Jesus Christ was who he claimed to be and gave the gift of eternal life and abundant joy to everyone who chooses to receive it.
Demonstrate in our personal and corporate lives that the 13th chapter of Corinthians is a basis for life, not just a nice thing to read at weddings.
Believe that “service above self” is a model for life.
